On thursday, Jim took me to see Aileen (his daughter/my cousin) and her two kids Lucy and Tom who are respectively 18 and 20 plus Tom's girlfriend Sally was also there. It was awesome to meet more family that are actually in my agegroup, plus they were really nice. I'd upload a photo I took, but I forgot my camera connection cable.
So they invited me to go to Sandbach fare the following day (like a show in Australia, but without the boring stuff like cow shows). We ended up going on a ride each then heading to the pub though and it turned out to be a good night.
Yesterday I jumped on the train headed for Manchester where I am to spend 4 nights. I went out clubbing last night with a couple of Australians I met, Aaron and Jared, and my ears are still not functioning properly. We hit 3 clubs, all of which were far better than anything you'd find in Toowoomba so it was a great night out.
Anyway, just to finish I bought a phone for 10 pounds ($24) today, which is prepaid; what an amazing deal! So mainly for dad, but also for anyone else who wants to call me while over here my number is 07964942940. I think you put 0061 instead of the 1st 0 for overseas calls, correct me if I am mistaken. My 1/2 hour is nearly up so i'd better finish off at that.

Hey Arv,
Just came back from a weekend in Chinchilla, we missed you! I bet you're glad that you weren't there tho, we were just renovating. But I got to spend plenty of time with Jean, so am more than happy!
Am glad that you're having fun, hope your eardrums have recovered!!
By the way we dial 0011 to call from here (61 is to call back into Australia) so I have no idea what other country prefix we're supposed to use for a prepaid phone over there. I'll try to send you a text sometime...what's the time difference anyhoo?
fun travels, love Neets
Hi Arvid,
now I've just returned from Chinchilla - the day after Nonie and Neets. Yes we got a lot of work done over there. They (TandCandJ) are coming here on thursday. We'll make a start on the shed job.
Good that you got a phone. 44 is the country code for UK replacing the zero. I'll try it some time when you are likely to be awake!
Great that you are meeting up with some family members - and others - your own age.
I hope you have fun in Manchester and that it doesn't rain all the time. It would be fantastic if you managed to see a Manchester United match.
Great reading your blog - much love Dad
hey arv...what's going on? what;re you up to now?
I'm waiting to hear more
Hey Arvid,
The number is expressed as an international number - +447964942940.
Depending on your telecommunications provider, you substitute the + for 0011 [telstra in Australia].
I'll be calling you on skype soon, because it's much cheaper than using Telstra [you hear that, giant telco?].
love, BEr.g
